Meat
Our cattle, sheep and goats are all raised on grass. In winter, they eat hay that we raise to supplement the grass they love to dig out of the snow. (Everyone needs a hobby, right?)

Meat from animals raised this way has many health benefits over commercial meat.
If you want more details, check out eatwild.com—but here are what we think are the most important benefits of grass-raised meat:
-
No antibiotics, hormones or dewormers;
-
2-5 times the omega-3 fatty acids;
-
Animals are raised with balanced minerals and organic kelp meal, so you get to eat those too.
-
Rotationally grazed animals improve their environment by helping soil microbes increase soil organic matter, sequester carbon, and retain moisture.
Pricing
We work within Montana law governing meat sales, which is why we sell whole, half, or quarter animals. Unless you want to sell meat across state lines, there is no reason to get a USDA sticker put on your packages. We can facilitate a USDA sticker, but please note that will incur an extra fee (contact us for details).
We typically use (Clark Fork Meats) in Plains, and (School House Meats) in Missoula, for processing. Both facilities are Montana State Certified.

Meat is available seasonally and goes quickly once it is ready.

Meat prices listed below are based on the hanging weight of the animal. The processing fee is billed separately, and the final frozen product are in freezer wrapped packages based on your cutting preferences. The final packaged weight is not equal to the hanging weight.
