One thing that seems to always be available on the farm are things that can be composted. Leaves, old straw and hay, horse manure, cow manure, sheep manure, goat manure, ... well you get the point, all can be combined and left to create rich new compost.
You can pile it high and leave it lie, or you can speed the composting up a bit by turning the pile from time to time. Warrior obviously thought I needed a little more help turning the pile this time.
